Default Brake pads for stock 350z

I'm looking for brake pads for a 2008 Touring 350z. This is a non-Brembo model. Everything about the car is stock.

I take the car out to the track once or twice a year, so I want them to perform on the street, but also be more resistant to fade than stock pads (last time I went out I almost hit a wall cause of brake fade and my stupidity...).

Sorry if this has been gone over before, but I've been searching for a few hours and have had no luck. Most of the pads I find are Brembo - for the ones that aren't it takes a PhD to determine whether they fit the stock calipers.

I have Ferodo. Some people like Hawk. Stay away from the Pep Boy's $17.99 special.

Does Ferodo make non-brembo DS2500's??

The ones I found don't look like they would fit my calipers.

I would just buy a separate track pad, then run a normal pad on the street. It only takes 30 minutes to swap pads before you head to the track.

Stay away from Hawk HPS if you want better or near performance of OEM. HPS do only one thing well and that is cut down on dust levels. Stop-Tech Street Performance pads are VERY affordable and perform very well for the occasional street to track use. They dust less than the OEM brembo pads and perform just as well or better on initial bite but should have better fade resistance.

I went from warn stock pads to new HPS and regretted it. The Stop-Tech Street Performance pads have been a blessing. I've had two 20-min lapping sessions with them and they worked great on my G35 coupe.

Many people hate EBC but the yellows are my favorite pad for street and mild autox use. (if I'm lazy and don't want to put the Raybestos ST41's on)
Be warned. They are DUSTY. Cold bite is very good.

Everyone will have their own prefernce in this area, but I like the EBC Red Stuff in my '08 350Z. Good initial bite, no fade in hard street use, and not a lot of dust. I use their Green Stuff in my Alfa Spider's, but those cars are lightweights compared to the Z, so it's a different situation. I agree that The Yellow Stuff make lots of dust, and I found they need a bit of heat in them to work well on the street. BTW, the red's are usually available at Amazon.com for a great price. I paid $128/shipped for fronts and rears about a month ago.

Hawk HPS, thats what I use with stock dual piston calipers, stoptech rotors, and SS brake line.

Hawk HPS ftw, unless you have big heavy wheels.

I agree staying away from Hawk HPS unless all you want is less dust. Man..those brakes making you feel like you brake on ice.
I've changed my rear to stoptech street perf and they did cover up Hawk HPS front pad's bad braking noticeably
