So my dad has some alcon 6 pot brakes on his a6.. I was wondering if these would fit my z with a bracket or what not...or if they just bolt right on?

If you got time and money then anything can work and fit. but people have tried and it usually takes a lot of money.

You can be pretty sure it is not a "bolt on" upgrade. First step would be to compared rotor specs between the two for at the very least thickness and diameter. The adapter brackets are fairly easy to make. CNC or a water jet cut facility can turn a bracket template into a finished product pretty quickly.

plan on lots of extra $$$$ (4 figures) to get them physically on the car

on and properly functioning? even deeper into the 4 figures

or you could just buy a big brake kit that was designed for the car in the first place

Is this just for show........or do you actually intend on using them? If these are freebies.....it might still be more cost effective to retrofit them onto the Z. Alcon makes great components.
