Default Bad front tire wear.

Hi guys, I have been running a set of almost brand new tires (5 months or so) and i noticed that my 2 front tires are almost bald from the inside!! I took it to an aligment shop to get it aligned as soon as i bought them, but i was checking them one day and I have very minimal tire left. Does anyone know what i can do so this does not happen again?? I will be buying 2 new tires in a month or so and I really dont want to be wasting my money all the time with this.

Guess thats why you don't wait for one day. Maybe check them like every 2 weeks.

Please scan and post alignment results. Without numbers I haven't the faintest what you are running.

Photos of tires showing wear helpful.

I'm guessing the shop didn't/couldn't get the alignment in spec. What kind of shop did you take it to, a chain like Pepboys/Sears/Wal-Mart or a shop that specializes in sports/race cars?

If your lowered , your probably going to wear the inside of your rears out as well . I would get adjustable camber bars and new toe bolts for the rear as well as camber arms for the front .

i found that my bushings ( LCA and compresion rod) were bad, and after replacing, my tire wear was back to reasonable.. aside from lots of other positive benefits.

I am lowered w Stance LX coilovers. I always thought it was the negative camber that wore out ries, fr and rr.. it makes sense visibly..

Turns out its really the toe that causes feathering and wear acceleration.. at least in my case.

and plus 1 for the reccomendation for rear camber arms and toe delete bolts.. my rear tires wore out waaaay too fast, and was able to get it totally dialed in w those parts.

due to the short length of time mentioned, it can be a combination of bad camber and bad toe from the alignment shop...its hard to even sorta diagnose with out an alignment sheet print out and full description of what you have? ie, lowered or not?

IF you ARE lowered...........

The your compression arm bushing is most likely torn!

ONCE AGAIN EVERYONE!!! IF YOU ARE LOWERED, YOUR COMPRESSION ROD BUSHING WILL GO BAD SOON!!

reason:
its a rubber bushing and when the Z is lowered the arm is arc'd at such an angle that the rubber bushing is always being pulled.....its never perpendicular as it should be at stock height, its never at rest. so it tears....

like this:

This is info on the compression arm bushing - odds are its torn:
https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...on+rod+bushing
https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...on+rod+bushing

If you are lowered,

depending on how low you are, you will need front upper control arms...if you posted an alignment sheet we would know....

but,if your are lowered and your front camber is no worse than -1.5 then you can safely ignore buying front upper camber arms and just ensure that you get your toe alignment done in spec at a good alignment shop.

if your lowered to a point to where your front camber is worst then -1.5 (ie, more negative as in -1.6, -1.7, -1.8, ....-2.0, etc) then you NEED front upper control arms.

kinetics are cheap and work well....review front upper control arms mentioned in post 6-9 here:
https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...ion-101-a.html

REAR of the Z:
since you dont mention the rears, im guessing your in spec with adjustable arms??? etc?? again, post your alignment sheet.
