Default brembo help

hi, i found 4 brembo calipers for $500 with brake lines, pads and the rear bolts...HOWEVER the 2 front calipers are black (somehow painted it seems) and the 2 rears are the factory gold...so what do you guys think? should i get them and repaint the front ones gold?

Its all in your taste but I think the Black would look nice and clean.

the issue is that the rears are gold, the fronts are black so either case i would have to repaint 1 of them...

I said I preferred them in Black being that your car is silver... so I answered your question.

Paint or powdercoat the rears black to match the fronts.

+1 powder coating... AcidJake did the powdercoater split the calipers? I'm looking at doing my own so I'm just curious.

I took them apart and did the rebuild on them.. you kinda have to get all the hardware out and seals, pistons...all of it has to come out.. it isnt that bad..those bolts that hold the calipers together is NO JOKE for sure.. I had to use a breaker bar and a vise to break them loose..

^Good stuff.

OP, depending on how old and how many miles on the calipers, you might want to rebuild them as well. If you opt to go with powder coating, then you have to rebuild them regardless. But if the calipers are in good shape and low mileage and you opt to get them painted, then no need to rebuild them. GL.

^I figured since I'll have them open that I might as well do it anyway.

Black is going to make the OEM Brembos look smaller than they are. Something to think about. Also I would say of you're concerned with resaleability going with the OEM gold is your best bet to recoup costs.
