It seems like when I disengage my E-brake in the mornings when I go to work I sometimes get a "pop" from the back. It's a rather noticeable thud and my girlfriend noticed it yesterday. I only hear this when I have used the E-brake and then only sometimes, maybe once every week or so. As a test I have parked my car without the E-brake engaged and I have never had this thud/pop.
I can't help but think that somehow the E-brake is sticking somehow. Any input on this? Btw, I'm running Stoptech ST-40 and ST-45 and KW V2 coils.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for commenting. I park the car in an underground parking garage in my apartment building so it's not outside but it does appear to happen when it has been raining. I suspect it is from the light coating of rust that usually forms on the rotors after driving in the rain. Would you agree?
