Default Rear Brake Bracket and Pad Question

Hey guys,

This is going to seem like a noob question, but I am trying to find some info out.

I recently converted my BBK in the rear back to stock. My friend had some extra calipers laying around so I took those calipers and brackets and put them on mine.

He said they are from an 06' which is what I have. I also ordered new rotors and brake pads.

However, something is off. We got them installed and the surface in which the brake pad is hitting is definitely off and different from one side to the other.

I know the 05 and 06's have only different brackets for the rear caliper set-up. However, is there a difference between driver and passenger side on the brackets?

Also, does anyone know dimensions on the 05 or 06 brackets so I can see what I truly have?

One more question, I was checking out the brake pad and they seem very small. Is this how they are supposed to be?

You can also see on the rotor where the pad is actually making contact. I measured the rotors and they are 12.1"

Again, sorry for the ignorant question, just trying to find out as much info as possible. Thanks in advance though.

Postage stamp size pad, and the 06 and newer only use the out part of the rotor. Normal.

If you had an 05 bracket, it would not fit over the larger rotor. If you had 05 rotor with 06 bracket your pads would be floating above the rotor.

Thanks for the info man. Do you happen to know if there is a difference between the passenger and driver's side bracket?
