Default Cold weather and cross drilled rotors?

Sorry if this has been addressed before, I've heard conflicting discussions about cross drilled rotors cracking due to freezing weather. I live in MASS and am about to upgrade my brakes, any info would be appreciated.

I've never heard of cross drilled rotors cracking due to cold weather. Of course, there could always be a first time for that.

If your looking to upgrade, most BBks are available without drilling. Drilled rotors for stock brakes are not actually an upgrade.
