Default brembo cotter pins(pics)

the other day i heard some squeeking when i braked & i figured it was the sensor of the brake pads. only problem is i had them replaced about 7 months ago. when i got home i inspected all the wheels and i found this (see pictures) there are diff. size clips at autozone and o'rielies dont have these to my suprise. these are brembo calipers and im visiting the stealership parts department on saterday when i have some time off. what size am i looking for?

Now i know for sure that there is no senor on the brake pads for brembos or regular brakes. I idk why you got them replaced because there is no such thing.

Why not just get the part number here, and ask for the right part?

Or order them.

Really? The figures on pages BR-27 and BR-28 of the 2007 service manual point out the pad wear sensors for both regular and Bimbo brakes.

Whoever did your brake job didn't put the pin retaining clips back in.....

If you need these clips, no need to go to the dealership.... Radio Controlled Car body clips work great! Any local hobby shop should have TONS of them.

You have to buy a whole clip/kit from Nissan to get the pins.. I have some extras here if you want to make an offer.

That's great to know!!!

But it seems harder to find an R/C shop in most places than a car dealer that stocks these. I got some of these pins at a Toyota dealer before for $0.70 each. The ones for the Tundra 4 pot calipers work great. Nissan charges more for them and they seem to not have them in stock.

Good to know for those who don't have a local hobby shop.

My buddy owns one of the largest hobby shops in Canada about 15 minutes from my house, so I tend to gravitate towards that store when I need weird and small hardware like this.

Forgot to mention... as a temporary solution, a large paper clip works just fine until new pins arrive.

Sorry to thread jack but does anyone know what part # the gold clip that goes above the pads is for the rear brembos?

I ask because this drawing makes it seem like it is the same part # as the pins the OP needs pins for the rear. (44217A)

^^^ You have to buy it as a kit, they won't sell them seperate.

Don't buy it from the dealership, they were gonna charge me $24 for the what I can get at Autozone...
It was only 7.99 for everything for the rears..

Home Depot and Lowes also have them in the hardware section.
