Dropped ZR on Eibach Pro-Kit
Good evening all. I have searched every suspension thread and anything with "eibach" in it. I still haven't found the answer I am looking for.The Pro-kit is supposed to lower front and rear 1". My rear did drop 1", the front however only dropped 1/2". The up side is the drop looks good and the front doesn't scrape much so I guess that is cool. I did not cut the bump stops that are part of the front strut covers, but I would't think that would change the ride height, as the car wouldn't ride on the bump stops. right?
Has anyone had this issue with the Eibachs? I have read in numerous threads how the springs should settle in a week or two. Well after a week and a half they haven't settled even a fraction of an inch. Any thoughts?
Thanks!!
You aren't supposed to cut anything.
The mftr usually states the drop rate of their lowering springs.
Who did the install? Was the install done properly?
How many miles since you lowered it?

I did it myself. I have lowered many cars but this is the first Z. I didn't cut anything. I just read it somewhere that they cut them. Maybe my stock springs were sagging a half inch? IDK but it looks good so I shouldn't worry about it. It is just wierd..thanks for your comments.

I have an 04 ZR dropped on Eibach Pro kit, and when I first installed them, it looked like the front had not dropped as far as the rear did.
However, when I installed my spacers, I realized that the reason for that was - I wasn't gauging the drop based off of the height of the car, I was looking at wheel well gap in the front versus the wheel gap in the rear. This is because it is a staggered wheel setup front to rear with the same offset. That means your fronts are further in than your rears.
Once you get your wheels "flushed" out to where they are both relatively the same distance from your fender, the wheel well gap difference won't be as noticable.
I can't say that all of this is based on fact because I didn't use a caliper to measure and confirm, but I did have one of those "oh yeah" moments once I had the spacers on and realized that it was the gap difference that I was noticing and not the actual ride height difference.

I measured from the ground to the underside of the fender before and after lowering. The rear dropped 1" but the front only dropped 1/2". The only thing I can think of is my stock springs were sagging???

Well, it looks pretty good and rides great so I guess I should just be happy. I checked out a bunch of other Z's lowered with the pro kit and it appears to be about the same drop. So I will move on..lol
I will post some pics tomorrow after I wash it.
thanks for the comments and thoughts

Here is a picture. I think it looks pretty good for a daily driver. I don't scrape coming in the driveway or over small speedbumps, so all is well.
