I just purchased a set of bc br coilovers, havent put them on yet. Ive searched quite a bit and couldnt find the answer.

How do you guys adjust your rears since its possible to adjust the strut and the springs? please correct me if im wrong. im not familiar with oem style coils. I will be installing them myself sometime next week. any pointers installing the rears?

will probably need breaker bar if no air tools are used. dont get impatient and go crazy with a hammer. you may strip stuff. however, you will obviously need to bang things around to make them fit.

front sway bar end links need an additional hex key to remove the bolt, so be careful with this one. youll either need a spring compressor or wedge a scissor jack between the fender to get the front assembly off.

how to adjust rear*

id link you to the 350z tech guide but the site isnt working.

rears are straight forward. adjust the height by the spring for better overall results. make sure spring is seated properly before you tighten everything up.

we have no idea what you were on.

op are you talking about adjusting the height? theirs 2 small sickle shaped tools that come supplied with it. you use those to raise and lower the car. theres 2 because they tighten into eachother.

yeah im asking about adjusting the height. Im wondering if i should adjust by the springs or by the strut to lower the car without compromising the ride. Ive read that the front spring load arent suppose to be touched and is meant to be lowered by twisting the entire body.

In the rear? You can adjust the shock height all day. it will do nothing but change the piston location. The spring adjustment is what does ride height. Put the nintendo down for a bit, look at it, not hard to figure out.

The front is a combanation of both shock length and preload on the spring. Set the front preload (10mm is usually pretty good) then set the shock length for your ride height.

Read the suspension 101 thread, it explains all of this.

According to BC techs adjust both the spring perch rings and the shock rings equal amounts. They are pretty cool about getting back to you with in a day or two so call them and they probably would get you the manual for your coilovers. I have them and I had some questions that they answered and even gave me a good deal on some stiffer spring sets.
