I have heard from sources the S-Tune suspension fixes the feathering problem inherent in the 350Z. The alignment must be correct of course. I know Droid had problems cause of improper alignment. Anyone else have problems after the S-Tune is installed? The only thing I can think is the S-Tune shock/progressive spring package which fixes the bounce must also eliminate the feathering (caused by bad shocks?). Opinions. I am considering the S-Tune because I am hearing NNA will look to see what's installed (IE aftermarket shocks etc.) and can cause warranty issues as far as the feathering of the tires.

I have the S-Tune. I wouldn't say it fixes the bounce completely. I still feel it. Sometimes just as pronounced as stock, other times less. When I had my alignment done, everything was within specs. I had the tech set my Toe-in at max allowable range, 2mm.
I'm betting that the final answer to the feathering issue will be clear before the Koni shocks are available (my planned upgrade). The suspension modifications options will easier to sort out at that point.
I stopped following the feathering threads closely since they're all over the map in terms of possible causes and solutions (and because it hasn't been a problem for my car yet). I check them occasionally to see if the "official" definitive answer has been put forth.

Full NISMO Suspension w/sways, Stock 18s, WORN OUT S-03s
One week after the HPDE, I had my suspension installed. I'm running on the stock 18s so I can save my new rear tires on the Track wheels until I replace the fronts. First things first. IMO, the "bounce" has been eliminated. I was an early objector to the bounce in the stock suspension and described is as an "echo" bounce that continued after the intial impact for a couple of seconds. It is my belief this has been cured simply by reversing the spring types in the NISMO suspension. The stock springs are progressive fronts and linear rears. The new NISMO springs are now linear fronts and progressive rears. I think that having the linear spring in front now in which the spring rate never varies changes EVERYTHING in the way the car reacts to various impacts in the road surface. As mentioned by others before, turn-in and steering response is greatly increased with the full suspension, even on the shitty tires I'm running. I honestly don't think I'll feel the full potentional of the car until there's new rubber at all four corners.
I have a nice stretch of road in which I compared the three stages of build-up. It's a long, clear S-turn with a sharp, high-speed, right-hand sweeper at the end. There are no outlets on this road so I can go full-bore without worrying about any cars pulling out from a side street. With stock suspension, 80 MPH through the sweeper was about as comfortable as I felt, as well as the point I'd really start to plow. With only the sways installed, I easily hit 90 MPH and still felt very stable. With the full suspension and shitty tires, mind you, I hit 95 MPH this morning before letting off. With new rubber I feel that 100 MPH is easily attainable. Not that I have to try, but at least I know it's a goal that could be met. With the full suspension, you have to re-train your instinct for steering input. SMOOOOOTH is the word. No longer are you wrestling with the wheel to make minute corrections mid-corner.
Any questions?

I just picked up my car and I love the NISMO S Tuned suspension!!! The guy above has said it well... it's simply amazing! no more fwy bounches... it's stiff but very comfortably stiff. The bouces are so much more crispier and you won't get sea sick from that! This is a MUST HAVE!
I can't wait to take it to the Canyon run tomorrow and tear up the twisties!

I have read that report several times. If you read on further down it comes out that the NISMO springs are all progressive and the stock springs are linear.

that picture shown shows the rear springs, NOT the fronts. Nothing is said by the author that changes how he says the front nismo's are Linear and the rears are progressive. The comments I posted were aimed at his saying the STOCK front springs were progressive, the issue of how he says the front nismo springs are linear remains. I had previously heard that all 4 nismo springs were progressive. But hearing a actual owner of the setup say. "The new NISMO springs are now linear fronts and progressive rears. I think that having the linear spring in front now in which the spring rate never varies changes EVERYTHING in the way the car reacts to various impacts in the road surface." Kinda over rides what I was told before that point. I would never argue with someone that actually owns said parts. Of course what we don't have is a picture of the front nismo springs on his car
I have had the S-tune since April, 2003... and I love it. The suspension setup eliminated the "bounce", the handling improved significantly, and it has improved the overall fun of pushing the Z to its limit.
At the time of installing the S-tune...I also bought the TE37's and S03's... in 19" configuration.
There has been no feathering to date after driving over 5,000 miles.
