to the OP - how low are you looking to go exactly?

are you willing to trade comfort, and the quiet suspension operation you have now for all out maximum drop? Does noise, and a poor ride worry you, or is it just all about the height? Does $1300 include the other items you may need to bring your resultant alignment back into spec (rear camber/toe kit, and possibly front, depending on how you answer question 1)? What is your rationale for getting coilovers vs a spring/strut setup?

this.... lol

The Sustec Pro5 from Tanabe is what I'm looking for. I like that TEAS system that they have. It's like automatic EDFC! I've been on the lookout for some decent used ones

The EDFC is cool for about a week, then you will set it and forget it, noth worth the extra money or wiring involved. I don't even make adjustment when i go to the track, i use the same settings and have for a while now.

I gave this the same notion when i made my decision on not getting those just for the EDFC shenanigans.

Its the same concept when you go with adjustable shocks and springs, once you find your "setting" you never really go back and ever change it...at least thats what i did and notice 99.9% of people doing...

The teas system is active though. It says it automatically adjusts the dampening based from info from your speed sensors. don't know how useful something like that is but a lot of factory cars nowadays have some sort of dampening that automatically adjusts but that's based off of some magnetic oil I believe. Just though it's a cool feature to have something that adjusts as you go faster and whatnot.

This, and are you installing them or getting a shop to do it?

H&R coilovers seem decent and they are in your price range.

I used to adjust my Teins all the time on my Prelude between street and auto-x/track days. The roads up here are too bad to run really stiff all the time. I actually blew one of my shocks out that way.

And to the OP, think about what Z1 asked.
