Default E-Brake Issues

Hey,
It seems that now when I rip my E-Brake it makes a groaning noise when it is up all the way (Where I usually pull it up to) and when I go to release it, it is very flimsy and can practically fall down. Does anyone have any idea of what this issue may be?

for one i dont think you need to pull it up all the way just until it is tight is usually good enough. maybe you stretched the wire?
