Debating on coilovers
I am looking for suggestions on a set of quality set-and-forget coilovers.
I was going to pickup NISMO S-tune, but heard this coilover isn't much of an improvement than stock 08 suspension sans the 20mm drop.
My goal is to drop the car between 20mm - 40mm, and use it as a daily driver. I will set the coilover onces, and likely never adjust them again.
My friends suggested KW V3, but knowing V3 is fully adjustable on compression and rebound, it's probably overkill for my purpose.
Recommendations please?

I bought a set of A'pexi's and now that they have settled, I am very happy with purchase. Got them on sale at a vendor meet. I beleive you can find them in the vendor section for around 850.00.

NISMO doesn't make coilovers for a 350Z
My suggestion would be the Bilstein PSS10 - more meaningful adjustment span for dampening vs the V2, and uses a nicer spring coupler (the lockrings that keep the springs in place) vs the KW as well. I've used both, we carry both, I just prefer the Bilstein overall. I would not suggest a V3 at all given your needs/wants

HKS offers more height adjustment than the Bilstein, and has a few more steps of dampening adjustment. HKS comes with pillowball mounts, Bilstein uses stock upper mounts. I've found HKS mounts to be excellent overall, had the RS on my car for about 4 years, and never once heard any noise from the mounts. Only downside to the HKS is potential serviceability, especially since there will not be an HKS USA in the next few months. Bilstein has 2 main offices, one east coast, one west coast, so revalving, rebuilding, etc can all be done in pretty short order without lengthy wait times
HKS LS+ haven't been made in about 4 years. They consolidated their range to the Hipermax III and Hipermax III Sport

As a ride comfort product, one that you do not really attempt to set much stiffer then full soft. The Bilstein product is excellent. The Kw V2 at full soft has simlular valving, but stiffer spring rates (still softer then a lot of other systems).

I bought my hipermax's for a great deal a few months back, but suddenly HKS USA is coming to an end. As a result, I fear that it will either take forever to get replacement parts, and or I will have a very hard time contacting HKS.
I would advise against HKS coilovers, because like Z1 said, their US office will be closed soon. If you already have HKS coilovers, I wouldn't worry too much about service. It'll just take longer and be more expensive when you do need to service them
Tanabe S-OC. Retails at $990 and I'm sure one of the forum vendors could get you a good price on them. Only ride height adjustable though so if you just plan on doing street driving with them, this is a good route. Pricing is close to megan but I'm sure everyone here could agree that the Tanabe is a better quality part than the megan. good luck with your choice
i would have to agree regarding the HKS coilovers...their coilovers are a great product but if you can't get service on them without sending them overseas then i would probably consider another manufacturer. i am not even sure they offer replacement parts...i thought you had to send your coilovers to them for repairs?
i don't care for the tein, i had them on another car before my z and they were very noisy after only a short period of time.
good luck with your decision...it was one of the better upgrades i have done for my z
