Default SS brake line failure (Pic)

I suddenly lost all my brake pressure while I was doing a lapping event yesterday. I was able to safely get off the track and discovered a huge leak from my Stoptech SS brake lines near one of the connectors.

Has anyone else ever encountered this? What could have caused this line to fail like this? I bought a set of used OEM Brembo calipers and these brake lines came with the set so I don't know the history behind them. I had them on for a few months and were working fine until I hit the track.

I attached pics of the brake line. I pulled back the black plastic to show the leak spot just for the pic. The lines were not exposed when they were installed.

I am getting new Goodridge brake lines this weekend.

they were most likely incorrectly routed, or had an excessive amount of tension placed on them while performing other maintenance.

it is possible too that they had a defect, but in my experiences it is generally a user error.

I got a blown line from Coz awhile back. It was brand new, blown in a similar
fashion (though rec'd from the manufacturer that way).

It was summarily replaced quickly with no grief.

This happens as nothing is invulnerable to breakage.

That looks like it had some serious abuse to bend the fitting where the line goes into the nut.

You should send them to stoptech so they can do a failure analysis on them. Why keep them and speculate?
