Default Pinch weld for the front frame rail cut tire

I am lowered 3/4 inch on the front and 1/2 on the rear. I don't know if its the fender or another piece but my front right tire bottomed out and got cut in the middle. The cut is nice and clean down the middle of the contact patch. The plastic fender cover is cut as well. Its a sharp piece of metal inside the fender behind the plastic cover. Can I roll it down and have no problems? I have made the dampening stiffer for now until i can figure it out.

Thats pretty wierd...

However there are some screws/bolts on the top of the well that i know people have to remove when they are really slammed...might want to look into that...thats the only thing i can think of...

It aint a bolt/screw cut junkster. Its to clean , like razor blade clean. I will try and get a pic. I searched and could not find another thread about it. This is one weird problem.

Update: Integra guys had a similar problem on lowered cars. This is the exact issue im having. Here is the link to that forum and the problem so if any of you guys get it this is the quick fix for it.

I would say if it the inside fender rubbed and cut your tire. Just go roll the fender out some and you will have no more problems.

its the pinchweld inside the fenderwell. its right in the middle, itll probably be all shiny from rubbing on your tire. I just hammered mine flat.

Mine had a nut in the middle of the fender that I removed, it was also cutting into my tires whenever I hit a bump. I could tell it was the problem by all the rubber it collected from my tire.

I feel you pain with all the heat we have had like 28 straight days with over 100. And on the way to set a record for most days over 100 for the year.

man i wondered this, im slammed on tein basic kit, and i got like nothing between the nut n cotter pin. theres one screw above tire inside holding fender liner up, probably not it, id roll fenders correctly use a heat gun. i havent had this issue yet but i have blown out my fender liners once or twice, they usually get trapped and i make it home with them, i just reinstall new oem clips and on my way lol

Default Fixed it!

Ok finally got to fixing the problem. It was a very simple process. I bent the pinch weld towards the outside so that it would not hit the a arm when it goes up. Used a mallet and a bar of iron to make sure that if i missed i dint hit any other parts and damaged them. So far so good and got and extra 1/2 inch of non damaging clearance. Now my concern is if it will affect the structural integrity of my frame rails since I probably softened up some welds. If so would a set of fender braces do the trick? Couldn't hurt right?
