Alright... looked all over the forum and couldnt find anything about this. So i ended up with a 350z that is pretty ghetto rigged (Long Story ill tell you if you really want to know).
The guy i got the 350z from lowered it and i noticed the fender lining/protectors have been removed.
prob a very dumb question... but go ahead and flame i can careless
Now my question is will this cause a problem as far as the electrical wiring and what not... im afraid of kicking up water and damaging the headlights...
Was thinking about taking it to a body shop and having them weld something to protect it.
Any thoughts?

Buy inner fender liners that are oem...Nissan designed it this way for a reason...especially if you are running a cold air, etc......why take the risk of damage bc of particles found on roads/tracks??
I sure wouldn't want to drive my Z around without any inner wheel well liners. I definitely would not drive in the rain without them in place. As you already mentioned in your question there is the big issue of water damaging the headlights. I don't have any first hand knowledge on exactly what sort of damage could/would occur, but it seems intuitive to me that it would be a bad idea to leave them out if you plan to use the car for normal transportation.

thanks guys appreciate the replies... btw that guy clip or bent in the fenders but i will somehow make it work... i ordered the fender protectors earlier today.
Looks like you purchased a car from someone who was riding really low with aggressive wheels.
You might want to get your suspension parts throughly inspected while you're replacing those liners.

no liners for years. no problems. no condensation. no issues.
i like big tires and i cannot lie. those underliners will deny.
when my suspension gets compressed and the front of the car gets depressed...
