From what I read around here I think that if you want a setup like this most are going with the Stance or BC coilovers......
I have not been here very long and I have not looked into coilovers too too much but its a start. Some people may have some better input but as far as bang for your buck I think those are some of the two top brands.
Both of them can be had for $1000 or less and I think they are like 30 way adjustable...
I don't personally like the whole slammed look but a kid I know has the BC's I believe and they did up real nice on his car.

BC Racing BR series would get you to that height and meet the $1100 shipped budget, but you'll need to buy adjustable camber arms for the rear. Shouldn't need them for the front.

I dont want to go slammed but i want a nice aggressive ride. ive tried to do the research but everything is so biased. im looking for some hands on exp

 

how much are the camber arms? are their any brands that come with them included. i heard they come with camber plates???

 

Well I don't have much first hand experience but I have read most of the sticky threads around here. Tire and wheels section has every kind of wheel/tire setup you could think of with pics.....
And in the suspension section I believe there is a sticky thread where people have posted up pics of their actual coilovers on their car and maybe some little write ups......

Both KW and Bilstein make high quality street-friendly coilovers. I've got KW II's and I've been very happy with them. Just be aware that if you're looking for a decent drop, you'll probably need camber arms and toe bolts to bring everything back in spec, which adds to the cost. Just my

 

ive heard that some coilovers come with adjustable camber plates? and umm what is the purpose of the toe bolts? never heard of that

 

Toe bolts are used to get your toe in spec.

 

is there a huge negative if you don't apply the toe bolts? and is there truth to the camber plates thing that i heard?

 

Basically help you bring your rear toe back into spec after a drop.

 

It depends how low you go and if your toe can be brought back into spec without the bolts. If your toe is out, you will experience less traction and burn through tires. You can also get toe arms if you go with true coilovers.

 

On a double A arm suspension like the Z has, please tell me how a camber plate would work.

 

sorry that i dont know everything about the 350z dude... i just got it. im trying to learn. im sure you weren't gifted with all this knowledge either and had to learn little by little. thats what the forum is for.

 

so i just found out that the camber plates wont work on the 350 suspension and that i will have to buy seperate camber arms. how much do they go for? any good brands?

Some vendors may offer some sort of combo deal where the rear camber arms are discounted when purchased with the coilovers, but I don't know of any coilovers that automatically come with those components. Note, most rear camber arm kits also come with new toe bolts and a template to elongate the toe bolt hole, which will allow you to get your toe back into spec when the car is lowered. I would expect a decent camber arm + toe bolt kit like Eibach / SPC to run around $150.
