Default Has my 08 been lowered?

Just got this car and have no cars to compare at this time.
I'll post pics later, but I get TWO FINGER GAP (tight) up front and 3 fingers (TIGHT) in the rear. The tires and wheels are STOCK. I looked at shocks and springs...they don't *look* like they have been swaped out (37 k Mi on car)..but I can't say for sure. Appreciate any input until pics are posted.

Post pics of your Z's exterior on a level ground as well as the shocks/springs for us to confirm, fingers are an unrelaible resource.

Best way to tell is to look at the shocks and springs...

Varying tire thicknesses/sizes can change your ride height...

I would assume I'm stock suspension, since there are only 1..maybe 2..aftermarket springs that only lower the car .2"-.3" and those are Tiens. If they were gonna be on lowering springs the next level would be thr RSRs at .6" lower close to my set up on the front. BTW, these springs are not colored (like most aftermarket)..they're BLACK.

Edited..I'm 26.25" up front not 26.75"

What size tires? Are the measurements the same on both sides of the car?

Stock tires (Potenza 18") and rims. Measurements are very close on both sides.

That's also an unreliable way to measure ride height. Different tire and wheel sizes, ground not being level, worn suspension components, etc will affect that measurement. The best way to measure ride height is from the center of the wheel to the fender.

Yes I'm aware of that. Do you have that measurement?

Not for a stock car, unfortunately. The only Z's I have available are all lowered. When you've got 15 minutes to spare, jack the car up and remove one of the rear wheels. Snap a picture of that, and we'll be able to tell you whether it's lowered or not.

Or maybe you can cruise over to a local Nissan lot and compare your car next to a stock Z?

So assuming you have a coupe, you are on 225/45 245/45 stock tires and we use the FSM diagram for ***** and giggles; then yes, you are lower than stock. Most aftermarket springs are not black, take a rag to your springs and see if there are any legible markings. At any rate, you aren't much lower than stock so where do you go from here?

I just put up pics..looks odd with the flash lighting, since gap seems exaggerated. Fronts are lower for sure..ya don't get a tight 2 fingers there stock. Rears look stock height.
Went I replace the shocks with D specs, I'll prolly put on the rsr *Down* springs for a .6" drop..they have rates very close to stock 04.5 revision.

Here are some pics...maybe some of you can chime in. The flash really makes the gap look exaggerated....so don't be *fooled* by that artifact.

That's the parking *stop* block in the parking lot and my front clears it as long as I don't pull up too far.

Flash pics can be deceptive...I agree it's stock though.
