Default switch to disable ABS?

I had no luck finding a solid answer to my question...still.
Has anyone hooked up a switch to disable ABS completely? Pulling out VDC fuse gives me a problem with ticking noise near battery area when braking.

i am not sure if this mod gets rid of ABS completely. i'm thinking if pulling out VDC fuse caused ticking noise, then this mod might do the same thing.

What year is your Z/G?

It's still unclear too most. Many just pull the brake fuse. The link above has been said to work. For 07/08 it gets tricky in isolating and cutting power for the ABS/ABLS system. I attempted a switch for the 07/08. I felt a difference but I haven't tested it really.

i have a 05 performance.
pulling the brake fuse won't disable the ABS though.
you mean that DIY gets rid of ABS?

?

Well why are you looking into disabling ABS? You can find the control box and put a switch on the power to it.

i have a hydraulic ebrake. The abs is kinda messed up. Itll be better for me to disable abs when drifting/autocrossing. Maybe DD without ABS once i learn how to.

The ticking is a relay, you can pull that too. Underneath the relay box is the wiring you would want to run the switch from too. Car uses CAN bus system which makes all circuits interconnected so other modules and functions could be affected. The system needs the wheel speed sensors to work, those might be easier and safer to install a switch along the circuit.

this here is the troof.. Jus cut power to the abs unit wen u wanna burn out n impress Ur friends.

* edit... Did not read the reason u wanted to do this... In any case we took an 05 motor threw it in a 240 got rid of the abs module n no vdc tcs or any interferences
Only problem was the cluster looked like a Christmas tree.. I suppose instead of removing the module u can jus thru a switch in line to cut the power wen u need to.....

Here are two photos of my ABS unit. There is a lot of conflicting answers and I'm doing this to clarify for all. I've read other threads and people said disconnect the grey plug. There is also a picture floating around these forums where someone pointed a arrow at the ABS mount and that didn't make any sense at all.

Can anyone clarify this? If you look at the pictures the ride side would be the front of the car.

Finally got an answer from Jason Zya, and it is the GREY PLUG that I originally highlighted in the picture. I tested it the other day and brake lights still work.
