350EVO swaybars with stock bushing?
While I looked up the 350evo website, I noticed that the poly bushings are now optional for the sway bars. Anybody is using those sway bars with the stock bushings? Does it fit nicely or you needed some hacking?
If I go with the poly bushing, will I get noticeable perf improvement? Those bushings are ~$110.
Thanks.

The polyurethane bushings are big improvement over the OEM rubber bushings. They are highly recomended for max performance. They are def worth the money. Just sold another two sets of sway bars today. We are fully comitted to providing the best performance for the customer at 350EVO.
Some new goodies are coming!!!!!

little rod.
Sorry for the delay.......
Rubber bushings are much softer than polyurethane or delrin. A softer bushing for a sway bay will have more flex or crush....the bar will move around in the bushings under load.
A stiffer bushing will keep the bar static inside the bushing and bracket allowing for quicker more effective weight transfer through the sway bars.
Yes there is a differnece and it can be felt.

Yes.....I believe the ones that ES does fit the OEM sway bars. I am also sure that the make up or compounds are different. We work with a local company for our bushings needs.
I have been able to work witht the bushings we have now and open them up. The ones we will be getting will be made with a bigger diameter for the sway bars.....
The other things they are working on are a new..............for better.......and a new.........!
just have to wiat and see!

BJ,
Where do the new sway bar poly bushings stand? What sway bar settings are you running on your street Track with the Konis? How is the understeer? Am I correct in saying that if both ends are set at medium the stiffness in the rear will be increased and that will lessen understeer?

I'll let BJ comment on the status of the new bushings, as it should probably come from the horse's mouth himself (he's been a bit frustrated with it).
As for the settings, while I do not have Konis, I do run at medium settings on the street, and the car is relatively neutral. So what you are saying is in fact correct. HTH.

When I installed my 350EVO sways, my stock bushings showed signs of tearing. I wouldn't have wanted to put those things back on because I track my Z quite frequently and it's my opinion that those bushing just can't keep up.
My poly bushings, however, have held up quite nicely.
