Stock Spring rates.
I'm looking into purchasing an 07 or 08 350Z as a daily driver and track car. A NISMO would be ideal but I really don't want to put that much money into a track car.
So I'm looking toward a GT. And so I'll be looking into potential suspension upgrades.
On the G35driver.com someone posted a very exhaustive list of OEM and aftermarket springs for the G that included spring rates and ride height. There was also one for antisway bars. (It might even have data on there for the Z but I don't think it does and I don't have the printout with me here at work.
Is there any such list for the 350?
Any help much appreciated.
Disclaimer: I have read the stickies on noob questions; I did not see anything there. I did a search and got a long list of multi page threads that did not seem to address this question. I'm not an expert at advanced searchs, and I easily may have missed something. If so, my apologies and feel free to flame on. No offense implied. Do not take internally. May cause cancer in California.

Nismo Z (2007-2008) ride height is the same as other Z models linear front, progressive rear (initial and final rates shown)
492/336-672
Nismo S-tune shock and spring setup 350Z (twin tube, fixed height)
.6"/.6" drop (drop spec published in Nismo catalog)
Spring rates 393*-448/254*-504
*estimated initial spring rates (notice the front doesn’t have much spread)
Notice the spring rates the Nismo Z uses. Pretty much every avaliable lowering spring on the market does not have spring rates that can work correctly with the cars oem shocks.

386/515 (softer initial progressive rates are unknown)
Most often purchased by owners chasing spring rate specs. But this spring is also often resold when they fail to deliver on the promise those specs were supposed to delivery. Not a bid surprise, they are progressive, not linear.

It's my list that your refering to on G35driver I edited it to show all model years of 350Z production All trim levels use the same suspension parts, except the 2007-2008 Nismo Z.
All rates are linear unless noted
350Z oem spring rates 2003-2004
314/342
2004.5 - 2008 (suspension revised midway into 2004 production, revision increased rear spring rate, revised shock damping front and rear, stiffer front sway bar and revised rear dustshield/bumpstops)
314/427
Nismo Z (2007-2008) ride height is the same as other Z models linear front, progressive rear (initial and final rates shown)
492/336-672
Excellent. Thanks for the help. Gsedan35, that is an excellent resource. I printed it out a while ago and I have it on file. I just need to dig it up.
There is also this page which is okay but the formatting is all screwed up and its hard to read:
http://www.*********.com/wiki/index.php/Springs
With my G coupe (with sport suspension) I did not feel like I need to change springs for the track. My plans were to upgrade swaybars and shocks/struts at some point but the springs were fine. I have no desire to change ride height. It is hard enough to get around my town with the current ride height.
I do not think there is any chance of finding a NISMO so I'm going to start looking for a GT. I'll take it to the track a few times bone stock and then go from there.
Thanks again.
