Default Stock front sway bar diameter question

I just replaced my stock front sway bar. As I understand it, the OEM bar on ALL year 350s is 34MM. Ok..I just measured the bar..using a tape measure to get the CIRCUMFERENCE and I got 110mm. That translates to 35MM Diam (D=C/3.14) WTF? In fact..I got the same measurement for the 35MM replacement (Solid bar though)...which made sense.
If it was a 34MM bar I would have gotten 107MM. Has anyone here actually MEASURED the front bar diameter as being 34MM?

Only the INNER WALLs changed from 5mm to 7MM..outside diam remained the same. I just don't get this.

perhaps outer diameter did change too, as I suggested above

anyway, you have the swaybar there, you have the measurements, so it is what it is

Maybe you're right there. Just surprising since all info posted here has shown it to be unchanged in Diameter. I'll PM *G35 Sedan* and get his take.
