Ok guys I have them down to 2 sets of coils. The one set is HKS hipermax 3 used with about 6-7k on them for around 1k and the other set is apexi exv I think brand new for around the same price? Thoughts on these 2 options and what would you pick and why? Please all comments welcomed.

HKS are great units. But if they ever need to be serviced, you're sorta screwed and there is no more HKS USA
No opinion on Apexi, I am sure they are the same as the rest of the Chinese stuff out there.
Of the cheaper stuff, I favor the BC as they offer a balanced ride quality, for the money. Are they what I'd put on a track car? No. Are they what I'd run if I had a $2000 or $2500 budget? No. They aren't Bilstein, they aren't KW, they aren't Ohlins. They aren't a motorsport part, they are a price driven one. But if I wanted coilovers, and my limit was that $1000 mark, they would be on my short list. We purposely don't delve heavily into the lower priced coilover market because there are simply too many brands (and that is alll they really end up being....rebranded versions of the same stuff). So rather than offer 4 or 5 units that may very well be copies of one another, we picked who we were most comfortable offering after trying them out, and stuck with them. They offer a reasonable value for the $ and that to us is important. Overall though, for similar money, the Eibach or Tanabe SOC are a better set. Better valving, better overall net quality, rebuild options down the road (vs BC where you just replace dampers...inexpensive to do though ($100/per) which is a plus). No adjustable dampening, but given your uses, you don't need it nor would benefit much from it. I've had a wide range of coilovers on my Z since I bought it in 2003. With each set, I found a setting I liked and rarely if ever touched it. The Eibach is preset, so no worries to even fuss over

Hey did some research on Apexi and they are a JDM company which I guess is good. These are the coil overs in the link http://apexi-usa.com/shop/index.php/...xv-damper.html. If anyone is running these please let me know, I am curious, especially since they state they are meant for our american roads which is good.

Same arrangement that Greddy has for their type S coilover.
Do not purchase either.

just like your other thread, you're asking questions no one knows the answer to, because at the $1000 coilover price point, who's going to bother taking the time to find out? It's really not important enough to examine with any detail. No coilover at this price point is going to set the world on fire. That's why so many of them exist

If you want to stay around $1000, I gave you some good info on page 2. If you want to move up to the $1800-2300 area, you'll get a lot better suspension for your money.
I'd stay away from ANY used coilovers though. Typically, used coilovers are just a headache and end up costing as much as a new set by the time they're reconditioned and rebuilt. The exception is if the previous owner didn't do much street driving and/or you can inspect them yourself and drive on them before purchasing.

Ok i think I am going to go with the fortune auto 500 coil overs. They seem to have a good situation going on and the few people that are running them seem very happy with their purchase.

That being said. We did get something else on the Fortune Auto 500 series coilover setup. Shock dyno's.

IMO, if you must get them. Simply request the softer rear springs I suggest in the thread above. The change costs you nothing extra. To spell it out for you I recommend to go with 4kg or 224lbs in the rear.
I had a vendor contact me in reguards to purchasing them (they thought that me being the frontman to the dyno thread ment I was in the market) I will pm you that info.
