Default Reason behind putting load on a-arms before torquing them?

So here's a quick question, I have spc a-arms that I installed a few weeks ago, but I didn't put full load on my suspension before torquing the 2 bolts up that hold them to the car / frame. I'm wondering if this is why they clunk occasionally?

Also, what is the point of putting full load on the suspension (jacking the suspension up from the hub until fully compressed) and then torquing down the arms??

Are the bushings you're torquing rubber? If so, I'd assume you want to torque them near the position is which the arm will be in most of the time, not fully extended. Otherwise the rubber would be stretching in neutral stance.

Correct. You can actually tear the bushing if tightened before load. Spc is know to "clunk", is it hitting the top?

It's clunking, but I've compressed my suspension completely while jacked up on both sides to double check for anything hitting, and it doesn't look like it's my a-arms that are making the clunking noise?
