You need to have adequate space for a large breaker bar. That means jacking the car up to allow for clearance. You may want to add more torque by slipping a hollow pipe over the bar...extending the lever. You will have to grab the bar from below where you have enough reach to clear the body...know what I mean?

Going to try to tackle these on Friday, with an el cheapo harbor freight impact and pb blaster... and a breaker bar if needed. Will post back results.

Sorry, didn't read the posts.

This is what I did.

Car up on jack stands, put a craftsman open end wrench(24 mm idk?) on there facing in so the wrench wouldn't fall off, in an up position.

Layed on the ground and pushed with my foot until it came off, kind of had to pull against the car so this is NOT SAFE, but it worked.

If pushing doesn't work try actually kicking it if you can get the angle, I couldn't, but a faster kick would probably brake it loose easier.

Edit: Breaker bar or impact wrench is the way to go(I went back and read the thread lol)

I did mine and it is so much easier with a lift. A large breaker bar and it came loose right away.

When I did it without a lift, I used a cheap electric impact from Lowe's for cheap. Best thing ever without spending too much.

Let it sit for a year or two and lift some weights.
