Default Bilstein Coilover Max Height?

I realize this coilover has been discussed to death but I've been searching for the answer to this question for some time now. I wonder if any one has wondered/found out the Bilstein Pss10's max height compared to oem spec.

I realize the adjustment range is 30mm to 50mm on the Bilstein page.

However, I talked to the guys at Z1 and he told me that the rear max height would be 1/2 inch lower than stock. 1/2 inch is much higher than the range specified by Bilstein.

Any one have any idea about the front?

Are you asking about max height or max drop? It almost sounds like you want to raise them.

The info I found on tirerack states that both the front and rear will drop between 1.0" and 1.75".

Thanks for the quick response.

I wanted to know the max height I can go on them.
I know it sounds a bit weird but I want to know just in case in the winter.
(We have pretty bad winters in Canada =/)

That range was what I thought as well but when when I asked Z1 he informed me that the rear could be raised higher.

I was wondering if the front could do the same?

I bought mine about 2 and half years ago and i seem to recall Adam saying that at their maximum height they were a tad lower than the OEM springs. Not 100% sure though. Maybe an email to Bilstein!

This may be correct. Another way to find out is to talk to a Tirerack rep. I know they carry them and they may have the information.

However, it may be easiest to have the vendor you purchased from contact someone at Bilstein.

I have the Bilstein PSS10 on my Z right now. I actually raised them for chicago's winter and they went pretty high to tell you the truth. I'll try to take a picture of the rear sometime later but its pretty close to stock height when its raised completely. The fronts I have set a little lower but they still have a lot of room to go up.

Hey,

Thanks for the responses guys.

I realize I may neglected this thread a bit.
But it's reassuring to know that they can possibly be adjusted higher.

That was the only hitch to my decision of buying these coilovers.

Until I ran into this question I was dead set on the PSS10's and I was practically one click away from sending my paypal payment for them

If anyone can verify with pics that would be great.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the delayed response.

This is the front(a lot more room to be raised) 245/40/18 with 18x9.5+15

This is the rear at max height 275/40/18 18x10.5+15

No worries at all, Thank you for taking the time to snap a few shots.

The front looks a little low but the fronts look super higher.
I think it looks like it may even be higher than my stock rears.

This may be a silly question but,
Does maxing the height change the cars handling, ride quality etc?

Again, the front can go much higher. I haven't noticed any difference with ride quality/handling but thats just me.
