Default G37x brakes on 05 350?

Hey guys,

I own a 2005 350z. I'm thinking about swapping my oem non Brembos with my buddy's 2010 G37X non Akebono brakes. Think this will be an issue? Any fitment issues? He's getting Akebonos and I would get his old set up for free. Any help would be appreciated. I contacts 3 dealers and 2 reputable shops and searched high and low in the forums and online without a confirmed answer. I'm guessing yes since all of our brakes seem to be compatible between the Z and G series. So please help if you can.

probably will need custom brackets (or possibly the brackets that the 350z uses to mount the akebonos).everything's possible, but i could foresee this being a simple bolt on process with a bracket. i'll wait on someone else to chime in tho that knows better.

in that case, since the OP is getting the set for free why don't he try it and if it don't work, no big deal right?

Just a guess, but if the g37 akebono brakes wont fit a 350 without special brackets, any g37 brakes wont just bolt up to a 350! Nissan/Infiniti wouldnt make two different types of spindles or hubs just for a different setup on brakes...thats just not cost effective, so I'd say no, it's not a direct bolt-on
