Default New Wilwood Big Brake kit for 350z

This kit is made by our friend from BrakeZone using all of Wilwood products. The cost of this kit will be one of the best bang for the buck on the market. They are very popular among s2000, wrx, rsx and GS400 guys. Now it's soon to be available to us.

www.wilwood.com - parts

Consists of

Front wheel -
6 pistons caliper from Wilwood
14 x 1.25 inch rotors
Directional Vaned
Cross drilled and slotted ( available in any pattern )
CAD plated
Stainless Steel brake lines -
Brake pads -= street/track options

The rear wheel are coming soon. The specs will be very similar. Same size rotors and a 4 pistons caliper.

We will throw a GB on this product within the next week. And the product will be ready to deliver within 2 weeks. It will clear the stock 18" Factory wheel. Will not fit the factory 17". Will clear most aftermarket wheels. We will post more information as soon as we have all of the prices/specs worked out. And feel free to contact us.

interesting, just hope it's cheaper than the last wilwood kit developed. Someone got our hopes up by saying $1,200 and it turned out to be over $2k.

The 6 piston wilwood option that fits under the stock 17" can be had here for $1850

http://www.350zbrakes.com/

...just an FYI for those those 17" riders that might not qualify for this package. Note: there is a slight difference in rotor size.

Great detective work ColecatZ I hope 350zbrakes.com are a sponsor of our community and a sponsor for this site.

Just FYI, our kit will be priced under $1800 for the initial GB. And it will also be available in Black, Red and maybe other colors for the calipers. Here's an example of the calipers in Red. From one of our s2000 customer.

http://gallery.s2ki.com/imagecatalog...view/101813/6/

And also our rotor will be also bigger than the kit you showed. 14" rotors vs. 13.6 But we want to provide all of the final information under our for sale thread. This is just to show people what's the brake that's coming out.

Thank you for interest. I'll be looking forward to your questions and suggestions. If you want to ask any questions or place your order. Feel free to give us a call.

Thank you

Thanks for posting. Options are always a good thing. While looking as that site i did notice a couple of key things though that seperate our set up from theirs.

First and foremost. They are using the old style 6 piston calipers which are ear mounted. Our set up uses the newest Wilwood 6 piston caliper which utilizes a radial mount bracket. The caliper also has a computer generated designed body which is actually narrower for more clearance and more rigid for increased stiffness increasing the overall performance and feel. This is the same caliper Wilwood uses for their Corvette Z06 kit.

Secondly, if you take a close look at the hat of the rotor, you will notice that ours are scalloped as oppossed to being completely round. This allows heat to escape from the center of the rotor. This is obviously a lot more difficult and expensive to do on our end but well worth the efforts.

Last and def not least, the rotors are far from being comparable. The 14" rotors we use are again Wilwood's newest design in rotor technology featuring a one of a kind 72 vane structure making it one of the strongest and most effecient rotors ever made. We also CAD plate our rotors not Zinc wash. CAD plating actually is absorbed into the metal where Zinc was can actually hurt the structural integrity of rotor.

just like I asked the StopTech guys --

any plans for a 13" 4-wheel kit? I track my car and I would rather run 17" wheels on the track. I don't want to fight fitment issues. A 13 x 1.25" rotor would be perfect.. fits under a 17" wheel, still has great heat dissipation and slightly lower cost, minus the 14" bling-bling looks that I don't care about.

I've been considering designing my own Wilwood kit, but you guys have access to cryo and cad-plating that I don't.

One final question -- does this kit include SS lines?

Thanks.

While doing the 14" front set up I took the liberty of also doing a 13" set up as well since its practically the same, so YES, both sizes are available. Contact Jeff or me and I would be glad to fill you on the details.

Thank you for asking abou the SS lines. In case any of you havnt taken a look at your front brake lines, next time your wheel is off, take a good look. The front brake hose is actually composed of 3 seperate rubber hoses with 3 seperate distribution blocks. Pain in the butt to duplicate. But we do Our kits not only come with the lines but are an exact OEM replacement.

I agree, options are nice......

my only reason for posting was to make it known to the guys needing 17" wheel fitments.

there is a huge thread somewhere on here regarding Wilwood kits that has TONS of good info and interesting brake discussions. I'll see if I can find it.
