I am disappointed with the S-Tune and Sways.
all_bark.......You just have a slight case of "buyer's remorse", I get that all the time......don't worry, it goes away in a relatively short time.
There is more value in the cost of the S tune suspension than you realize. Jeff from Performance made a great point in reminding you that you have retained your suspension warranty. This has the potential of saving you a ton of money down the road.
As more and more aftermarket mods become available for the 350, our buying decisions will become harder and harder. It wasn't that long ago when people who wanted to go FI had only ONE choice, now they have to do some research.
Have fun with your new suspension.........I think you made the right choice.

Street Driving != Track Time. I don't care how hard someone says they push their car, it is NOTHING compared to cornering on the track. Anyone considering S-Tune for track use SHOULD NOT pay any attention to impressions of street use.
SKiDaZZLe has the Tein flex w/EDFC and his car does not stick like mine, TT notwithstanding. Same size tires, 245/275 and it's not nearly as confident as the S-Tune. I wouldn't choose the Tein for any track use.

Well not to add to the buyer's remorse but the talk of retaining warranty would not make feel better about spending 2K on mods that I am not happy with.
What warranty issues could come up as a results of me spending 1400 less that I would regret? After getting the alignment and new tires I have not had any more problems in the last 7 months or about 7k miles since the Eibach install.

I am glad to hear you are satisfied with your purchase westpak. Obviously, you looked at price as a part of your buying decision, while all_bark was willing to pay more thinking he would get better performance from the "Official Nismo S-Tune Suspension"
Since the result was not "an earth shattering experience", all_bark is wondering if his money was well spent. At this point, he has to find residual benefits for the purchase. Warranty retention would be one. We all like warranties.........whether we use them or not.
I was not trying to say that a non Nismo suspension mod was a bad thing, I was just saying that the S Tune purchase (although more costly) has benefits beyond "the ride".

well, I have ridden in a car with this setup, and I could tell a little, the biggest thing was the lack of bounce. Other than that, and a little less roll, the ride was real similar. But body roll did decrease with this setup, which felt good to me. Not a radical upgrade, kinda mild, but for that amount of money, seems like you should get more.

I'm gonna be running mine with the stock 225/245 tires for a while. How will this affect grip? The 245/275 staggert in all honesty didn't seem to get me much more grip, so i dont think it will affect me alot (I also dont track the car, and like droid said, alot of this stuff is really evident only on the track)
All these decisions!
Still trying to decide what setup to buy. I have heard a lot of good/ bad points about both products in this thread. I think I'm leaning towards the S-tune so I can retain the warranty.

I think that if you track your Z even stock you will find out even the stock suspension handles awesome. The car is pretty good already so many of the mods only improve the car in slight degrees.
I will say that I had to put my stock wheels and tires back on since I am getting my scrathed wheel repaired and I was amazed how poorly the stock tires grip in comparison.

I really like the S-tunes, all be it over priced. I gained about 10 mph on my "test" corner.
I agree with the above also, the stock tires stink. I took my 245/275 S-03's off and put the stock 17's back on, and there is a tremendous difference.

Not even close to worth it for me. 15% left, I lost 50% changing tires for $650 net, another $1700 installed w/o the sways, unacceptable!

well my 85% is obviously not your 85%. I changed my wheels and tires before the S-Tune and would say my bounce decreased about 3%. So maybe the S-Tune will help you 1500%.

thanks for all the response to my thread!
I am now coming to understand that maybe I was expecting too much from a $1700 s-tune and sway install. Maybe expecting too much was a mistake and thats why I was disapointed. I would agree that the bounce is gone, anywhere from 75-85% as was said earlier.
I would not say I have buyers remorse, I love this car, plan on keeping it for several more years and only want the best for it. Maybe this suspension mod was the best for my driving habits but once again, I was expecting more. Its not really the money as I would spend even more if there was a better suspension out there.
As for the warranty, I guess that is a good thing, because if the car does have a problem in the future I do like the fact that I can bring it in and say, "FIX IT!"
now I am waiting on the plenum by ISDunique!

Just reading over this trend, everyone keeps on saying how the s-tunes are warrantied, but the basics are a warrantied product also. Might not be by nissan, but it is warrantied all the same. Sorry, the nissan name is not worth over $500 dollars to me. Do a search to find out more thoughts on the basics, cause there is no good info on them in this trend.
I drove a car with the S-tunes on it, and I liked it. On the street, you can't feel much of a difference, which is a good thing to me. From all reviews, the basics are real similar to them.
I understand what you guys are saying, but most of you do have some non-nissan warrantied products on your car, does it bother you that you can't go to nissan and say fix them?? Must not bother you, since you bought them. Like to see Adam from Z1 chime in, as he has driven Zs with the basics and s-tunes.

little rod, the nissan name isn't on the s-tune, a separate company called nismo is. lucky for us, certain products made by nismo are honored by nissan under the factory warranty. that extra 500 dollars will pay for itself when you have to pay for labor 4 times if another brand might have something wrong with it. being under warranty means totally free after initial purchase.
