Default Anyone running Tein Basis? Reviews and opinions.

Since these are new on the market I haven't found too much information on them. Anyone running them? From what I have read and seen they are what I would be interested in getting. Those of you that have them can you chime in with some reviews and opinions?

Looking for good daily driving use with occasional trips to The Tail of the Dragon (Southwestern Va) and The Back of the Dragon (US-421). Wont see any track use or auto cross and I don't want slammed. I need a functional coilover system thats just good everyday and will let me have fun on the weekends.

Tein Basis coilovers are designed to be somewhat inexpensive option that is comfortable, which makes them good for street use. While I've never driven a car with Basis coilovers, I have owned a set of Super Streets, and I liked them. These should be similar I would imagine.

Tein Basis isn't in that thread and search only shows 5 results.

I am looking for up to date reviews but there seems to be very little out there.

Sorry. i want to apologize, i thought i read TEIN BASICS, not BASIS.

there are reviews for the basics in the URL i posted. and if the BASIS is the replacement for BASICS, then the performance should be the same for that price point.

It's ok

I got your pm and I am looking into what you suggested. Though I do need height adjustment due to the exit at the hospital I work at. I would be afraid to just go with springs just in case I needed to adjust the height required to exit work without scraping.

No one knows how to make a level exit in my area....

Interesting, I thought this was a typo but I guess they now offer an even more entry level system which this seems to be:

you actually might be a great candidate for the discussion on the air cup suspension, ExoticAir, going on in this thread:

https://my350z.com/forum/brakes-and-...n-details.html

have your ride height of choice via coilovers, then raise the car for entry/exit of driveways.

Would the basis be worth the extra $150 or so over something like the Tokico D-Spec or bilstein shocks, if all I am really looking for is improvement in handling, with out really sacrificing ride quality.

Do you need ride height adjustability?

Depends if the Tein Basis offers better handling, while keeping the ride of my G35 the same. I have bad shocks.

I would say the ride is not going to be the same... probably a stiffer ride and at 115K miles my stock suspension is in dire need of replacement. Tein advertises good daily driving and the occasional track day iirc from reading their site.

I am saving up for suspension parts since I just bought wheels and it's going to be a while before I purchase... so I plan to do some research.

How is the longevity of the Tein Basis on average? And the only difference between the basic and basis is just a name change or did they also change something else too. I'm not to clear on that.

Considering the Basis is a new offering, I'd say it'd be hard to say for sure how long they'd last. I ran my Tein SS for years without any issues though.

Yes. I inquired about it with my Basics a while back. Inspections are free but you pay for shipping both ways and any services they do:
