Fluid filled bushing?
Was putting in new shocks yesterday, when i noticed a oil/greasy substance on the bushing of where the transverse link connects to the knuckle. It was a very light grease, easily wiped off. Brown in color. Are there any bushings on the Z that are fluid filled? Specifically the transverse link bushing where i found the grease. I thought they were all dry bushings.
One thing id like to clarify as well. Is the transverse link another name for the lower control arm? Really confused on that from reading a lot of the threads here.

That was what i thought. But what would explain the grease then? And it wasnt like a little smear. It was a ****ing dollop of it. Like if you look at the packaging on a tub of cool whip, it was like that size.
For reference.. lol.

Thanks for the thread. I just replaced the shocks because i had an impact that was hard enough to bend the inner tie rod and blow the shock. So im assuming thats what tore the boot too.
But after replacing the shock the ride feels much better, but do you think the boot could be the reason why i still get the clunking. It happens on the side of the impact only. And i get the clunks when going over small bumps in relatively quick succession, as opposed to going over just one larger bump.
