Default Rear pads / rotor issue, only on left side

I was wondering if anyone would know why my left rear brake pads would have worn down far more than my right side. Its so bad that it caused my rotor to get all scorred up. The pads on the left side are worn right down to the metal no pad left what so ever but the right side has decent amount left. When I drive down the street its so loud because of the metal on metal and when I touch the brakes even slightly it gets worse.

The other thing is this happened in a short period there was no squeek sounds it just started making scrape sounds.

Would this be caused by a seized slider ? Its the only thing I can think of atm...
Any help would be appreciated I'm going to try to find pads and rotors in town that are in stock so I can get them on asap.

Possibly a stuck caliper piston but you should have been able to feel a light drag on the car if the brake was always holding not to mention the smell of over heated brake pads.

Almost certainly a seized caliper. Same thing happened to me. I bought a set of re-built ones. It's actually fairly easy to install them.

They can be re-built for slightly less than the cost of replacements. There is a core charge refund on replacements, so they aren't actually as expensive as you first think. Plus swapping calipers takes less time than having to wait for yours to be re-built. (I've re-built calipers, and also swapped them out myself, which is how I know this).

The culprit was a slightly seized slider got that cleaned up and new pads and rotors on.
