Stripped Bolt on my stabilizer connecting rod?
Hey guys,
So I dropped my car on springs last night, and I went in to rinse up while my buddy puts the remaining bolts on. Long story short, he stripped the bolt to the end link connected to the lower sway bar on the front right (passenger). On the figure, it is number 14 (stabilizer connecting rod).
Autozone and advanced auto parts carry it, but they show different pictures> Can you guys verify if this is the correct part?

In this video, he is removing it at 51 seconds
Thanks for the help.
Also, can you drive it without it? I live in the barracks, so work is about a mile down the road.

Cannot confirm the part number but I have to ask why you were even touching that bolt if you were only doing springs? That video has a lot of extra/unecessary steps.
You should be able to drive with your front sway bar removed. Can will not handle the same.

because the bolt holding the brake line to the strut was stripped from the previous owner so i couldnt get the strut out. So in order to move the strut around, i removed that bolt and the whole lca/brake assembly moved out of my way

that sucks.
Those nuts must be put in with heat or something. The little brackets bend and the nuts round off so easy. Impact really is the only way to get them off.
Check your local CL, there may be one for sale.

That is what you need, new endlink. I drove mine for about a week without one installed. No problem, you probably won't even notice a difference.

+1 on terrasmak.
Also, if you want to get the brake line bracket bolt off get a set (or just one if you know the right size) of grabber sockets. They work wonders.
I guess before you buy the grabber sockets though... since it's a small bolt for that bracket you could try some vice grips. You may have already tried everything, but if not there's a suggestion.
