Review of Centric Blank rotors and Centric ceramic pads
Specifically, blank Centric Premium rotors with the black E-Coating and Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads. Also, I replaced the parking brake pads with Centrics and painted the calipers with G2 black.
I removed the calipers for cleanup and painting. The car sat on jack stands for a day while the paint cured. During reassembly I replaced the guide pins and hardware. All the old fluid was flushed out and replaced......Threw some new NGK plugs in too
I took the car out and did the break-in procedure on a nearby back road. So far, so good. No odd noises......no noises at all. This is my first set of ceramics. After properly burning them in, there is more than ample stopping power, it's just not as initially "grabby" as regular pads. However, as the driving gets more aggressive, the pads respond well and don't fade.
I'll update with long-term results. Here's some before and after pics:
