I need my springs done on my Z. But I'm having a hard time with the fronts. Is there anybody local to my area that does this? The shops around here are nuts and say that it will cost me $250 or more just to swap out the front 2 springs. There's no way I'm paying that much.

2. What is the problem that you're having? Are you using the DIYs here?

 

the fronts shouldn't be too tough, just ensure you have spring compressors...not sure about in the States, but in Canada we can rent these tools from certain automotive stores.

If you're not up to it, then as CleanFairladyZ mentioned, if you're looking for help, I'd say post in your local regional forum.

$250 sounds way too high to just install the fronts

 

you can rent compressors at advanced for free or buy them for cheap from Harbor Freight.

I have a set of HF and they worked fine with OEM springs. The thrust washer is showing some wear, but still safe enough.

I got tired of using those HF compressors and bought an ebay special spring compressor. That thing saves lifes! it took me less than 6 minutes to swap springs with it. IMO, well worth the investment.
