Do I need camber kits with lowering springs?
Contemplating about lowering my Z with just springs only. Will I need camber kits for the front and back? FYI, my 350z is the Grand Touring model with the staggered 18" front and 19" rear.
Usually, the threshold is 1". If your dropped less than one inch, you will not need a camber kit for the front and chances are you will not need it in the rear. Once you are dropped more than an inch, chances are you will need to purchase camber kits.
Get the camber kit, do it right…nothing is worse when you see a car driving down the road that has whack camber bc they didnt dial it back in…
the suspension is like a rubic's cube, you modify one thing and everything else changes...

All cars are different, typically you are good till around 3/4 inch. Some more , some less. The front is good past an inch if you don't mind having the camber the car needs anyhow

Sorry to thread jack , but I was going to ask somthing along these lines but for true coilovers . I know I'm going to need the Camber kit and I fig I would go with wicked tunings rear camber arms but my question is the toe/eccentric bolts that I've been reading about ? Can someone just in a nut shell tell me why I may need these as well as where to get them s&e what cheap ? Seen them from 40 -60 dollars for 2 bolts . Thanks

The factory camber arms and toe bolts only allow for so much adjustability. I'm other words, you're limited in how much camber and toe you can add or remove. The reason for this limited adjustability is because they don't design the car with the intent of it being lowered. When you lower a car and leave alignment components as is, you effectively increase negative camber and positive toe. Aftermarket arms and bolts are required if the drop is big enough that the stock arms and bolts don't have the ability to adjust the camber and toe back within factory spec. From my experience you'll need camber arms with a moderate drop (around 1 inch) but not toe bolts. A more extreme drop will require new toe bolts.
If you drop the car more than 1", you'll need to at least adjust camber in rear. I was lowered almost 1.5" in the rear and just got the camber arm to adjust it back to around 2*. I didn't need to get toe bolts though, since I could still get it into spec with stock bolts. The front is lowered 1" and camber is not adjustable stock. It's only slightly out of spec on camber there, so normally you would be fine in front unless you're really low. Toe is adjustable there..no problem.
