Question about springs/coilovers
I've noticed that most coilovers offer the same spring rate for the front and rear ends. Example: Tein Basics have 504 lbs front and rear. Springs, however, have a stiffer rear than the front. Why do they do this? Which setup is better in alleviating understeer? Do the dampers in the coilover setup have stiffer rears to offset the more neutral spring rate over stock?

good question...
We have in stalled Tein Basic / Flex and CS systems...
The cars handle better on turns and on straights...
with the CS, on acceleration the rear end seems to sit down more unless you put the EDFC on the hardest setting.

Man, Jason you get around, dude. I guess you know my intentions from FreshAlloy, but I'm a little concerned about overall driveability with the Basics. I'm contemplating waiting for the Koni adjustables, but then comes the game of matching that damper with a suitable spring. The Teins are matched from the factory, so in the long run it could be cheaper.
I just called your shop concerning the power steering cooler. Since I'll be running 245/40/18 in the front, I'm concerned about overheating the pump. I don't track my car, but at $115 its a cheap upgrade for basically my peace of mind. One of your co-workers is checking to see if it will fit the G35C.
