The FIRST 2 PEOPLE I thought of INSTANTLY were Stuart and Terra. And I said to myself, I should post this just to **** them off. And I laughed to myself and kept reading. Then, low and behold, this pops up.

Aaaaaaaanywho, OP, learn about suspension (and everything else). Don't just look for cheap parts. You need to know what you want your car to do and then formulate a plan on how to do that. I am a HORRIBLE example because I have budget coils and unfunctional ride height. But, I also don't drive my car more than 1000 miles a year (and honestly I doubt I'm anywhere near that) and most of that is out of state shows. And I actually lurked the nico forums for like a solid year before I bought my 1st Z or any parts. Key is research. Another thing, do it right the 1st time. Again, I'm not a great example of that cuz I have this thing where I'd rather have the part and know full well it's capability as opposed to just making assumptions like MOST people do. But, there are quite a few knowledgeable individuals to guide you through your transition.

BETTER ride quality will be pricey for our platform. But, it doesn't sound like you have any use for coil overs. spring and strut setup may get you back to factory comfort. If they've never been done, your car's suspension could just be worn.

I think its funny you think i get pissed, not at all, its the contrary, I just laugh and try to help as much as possible. Tough love is all it is.

What is your budget?

That will determine everything.

My Z is a 2004.5 coupe. I also wanted some experts to match the springs and dampers/shocks to take the guess work out of the equation. My car is mostly used as a DD and running the curves on the country roads and some very limited track time (1-2 times at most per year). So I went with the Eibach Pro12 kit which includes the Eibach pro springs and re-valved Bilstein dampers. I installed these along with front SPC adjustable A arms, and in the rear SPL adjustable lower link and SPC tor bolts. I am waiting for the springs to settle and going in for an alignment next Wednesday. I wanted the lower look without a jarring ride. But I'm still somewhat concerned about losing some handling based on switching from the stock linear springs to progressive springs. But with the Eibach springs, I have lowered the center of gravity.

I run the Bilstein PSS10 coilovers (10 way adjustable). They are very comfortable on 1-4 around town or for 8 straight hours driving to ZDayZ but on a 9-10 setting I place 3-4th overall at AutoX with a field of 50 while still running street tires. These will set you back about $1,800 which is good price in the coil market. Ofcourse depending on how low you want to go will determain the amount of adjustment bolt or arms you will need.

My cousin has a G & is running MDU coilovers which are cheap super china #1 stuff but he has enjoyed them & they seem to have a decent reputation on the G forum for entry level coils.
