Part shop max/powered by max are a quality brand compared to the sea of coilovers available. While I don't know much about their z33 suspension, I know they make a great coilover that is meant to slam the car and still provide above oem performance. Alot of their ots setups are used is d1 street legal as well as drift muscle. So that alone says they are a decent upgrade. If you want to "slam" your car and still retain some performance, pbm would be the top choice. Search for reviews on zilvia and it will better explain what I'm trying to convey.

OEM feel? No. All I've heard is that PBM coils are notoriously stiff along with being able to slam your car to the ground

This is a thread I found on Zilvia when I was looking into the brand:

Obviously this isn't what you're looking for. A quick search will give you the answer you seek, young grasshopper.

And if you knew anything about coilovers you would know why they don't know or care to know.

THIS!@!!! lol

Seriously though. Don't get coilovers for a .5-1inch drop. That's ridiculous. The easiest way to find the answer to your question, though, is to find the stock shock height and compare it to the shock height of pbm. While it isn't an EXACT science, if there's more than an inch of difference (and every coilover I'm familiar with, there's around that or more), then it will probably lower you more than 1inch. Not an exact science, but better than saying your want coilovers to lower you but not really lower you.

Actually the main reason to get coilovers vs lowering springs would be for the spring rate. Even for a 1 inch drop, mine is about that up front, but I know what I need for spring rate and need an adjustable body to change spring rates and keep my height the same.

Most people just buy coilover thinking they will magically cause their car to handle better (1 of maybe 20 on here actually get them properly setup to where they have the potential to handle better) Then the others just want then so they can really fck their car up and slam it.

Keep saving, I know of a company that was selling KW V3 at a blowout price of $1800 , the little extra $$$$ will help a lot with function. The are not adjustable body, just preload, one less thing to screw up.

And you will hear good stuff about Godspeed, Megan, BC , Topspeed and many other crap coilovers. If you want crap, at least order something like Feal suspension, it is the same china crap but rebuilt/revalved here in the states for the proper spring rate.

PBM is solid on the S-chassis. They make a great angle kit for our application as well. While I don't think you need coilovers, terra thinks all coilovers are inherently crap. But, in his defense, he knows what he's talking about. catch 22. :/
