Default Quick Question About Traction Links

Are they a necessity for lowering a 350? I am planning on lowering mine roughly 2-2.5" and I need to know if I should pick up a set. I already have upper control arms, toe links, and camber links.

if by traction link you really mean what nissan refers to in the factory service manual as the "radius rod" - number 23 here:

Then to answer your question "to lower your car" - no, no you dont.

all the suspension performance is out the door lowering the car that much, so no need to spend big money.

replacing those to quality aftermarket radius rods would be best on a track car doing hard launches/increase accelaration and braking etc. at that point, i would want radius rods with rod ends and no rubber bushing material at all.

the oem bushing material will flex and give, thus altering toe, suspension geometry.....

things that an educated racer would know/care about.

otherwise, just to lower the car, no.....all of that is out the window...
