Anyone installed MGP Caliper covers on 350Z like to see pics and feed back on appearance.

Nooooooo. Don't do it. It looks so cheap. I see a brand new Camaro in my area with them and everytime I see this car I cringe.

Paint the stock calipers silver so there is no rust or anything but it still looks OEM. Make sure there is no rust on the rotors or buy new rotors? This will look much better than buying cheap covers for your calipers. Actually wait they are $200 according to the site! Oh god. What a waste of money. Just my opinion but I am confident it is shared by many.

EDIT: Just noticed you live in Ontario (maybe Cali?) as well, but I hope to god I never see a Z with caliper covers in my area...

Doubt you'll find anyone on this site who'll own up to putting caliper covers on their Z. I don't even recommend painting the OEM calipers either, as it really won't help rusting and only points out you have the standard brake package. Both these things are a waster of money- better to save up for a real BBK or used Brembos.

They're like 20 bucks on eBay if you decide to go down this road. Then if you don't like then you are only out a little bit

You can get the caliper covers cheaply on e-bay but they are plastic imitations that are glued on with silicon. Any heat in the brakes and they melt. The MGP covers are quality made of aluminum and actually help cool the brakes. You simply can't compare the cheapo product with the MGP covers.

I figured all covers were the same. If they have a performance gain, be the first to try them out and report back.

Well I was gona say some mediums, lol. You folks know I heard spinners where originally designed to help cool brakes...but 100+mph pin wheels of death where apparently a no go in racing. I heard it from an old timer physics teacher, so who knows if it's true.

You gotta have spinners in the wheels, and vortex generators in the intake and the exhaust!

I run caliper covers on my track car and not only does it make my car look great, I noticed a tremendous improvement in performance. Infact we had to add some special beadlock to the tires because the braking performance actually was spinning the tire on the rim and causing it to become unbalanced and vibrate.

I would recommend every 350Z owner get caliper covers as well as wide rims and then some stance coilovers. It is then crucial to stretch the tire over the rim well beyond the tire manufacturers recommended limits. This is because maxiumum grip actually comes from the sidewall of the tire.

But yeah if you "cal cov" like I call it, then stance, you will out handle everyone.

I personally prefer Endless covers, the jdm tyte cover adds around 100HP as well.
