Adjusting rear oem style coilovers
I've posted this in the DIY section, but it doesn't get enough traffic so not very many people saw it.
I've looked around/searched for a bit and couldn't find an answer to my question regarding adjusting rear oem style coilovers.
My question is, how do you adjust the rear height of the car? The springs have a perch and the shock has a perch. I've read on the g35 forum that you have to adjust the spring perch first then adjust the shock, but how do I know how much to lower the shock in correlation to the spring?
I'm assuming the spring is the lowering element, correct me if I'm wrong.
I have Megan street coilovers if that helps.

According to Megan's site:
http://www.meganracing.com/tech/installations.asp
Measure your rear spring height and match that measurement on your shock body from the adjustable collar to the top hat (pre-load). Then you adjust the ride height from the spring perch.

You mean measure the spring when its on the ground? The rear shock doesn't have a spring..it's just a shock since the spring is in the spring bucket.
Or did you mean measure the free length of the spring and adjust the shock to be the same length from the top of the top adjustable collar to the top hat.
I never thought of looking on Megan's website for some reason...I didn't see where you were reading, but thanks! I just emailed them about it.
