Default Bounce and Wiggle

I have 75+ track days on bone my stock 2008 Nismo 350Z and my driving skills exceed the capability of the stock set up. Any suggestions or where to start? I'm thinking replace all the bushing with hard rubber, upsize the stablizer bars then stiffer springs and dampers.

What tires have you been running?

-Differential
-Tires
-Track Pads
-Seat/harness(you must be sick of using the wheel and your knees to brace yourself)
-Cage (can be a kirk bolt-in) or harness bar (debatable subject I know) in order to run the seat and harness belts safely
-Spring/Shock
-Stab bars
-Bushings - if your LCA inner and compression arm bushing are done you need to do these asap - they make a difference in predictability and safety - the other ones can wait. Some would say do your differential bushing if its shot but I would just do that once you replace the differential.

Just realized your thread title if the car getting unsettled is your biggest problem then maybe start with a good set of shocks/springs first.

If you upgrade the diff, tires and pads and are still on stock suspension you are going to want something with more control pretty quickly. As you know there is a large amount of interplay between your level of grip (tires are the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to gaining time really) and everything else you will need to keep it under control.

Then once you have it all under control you realize you are getting thrown out the window and all of a sudden need seats/harnesses etc etc etc cooling etc etc etc $$$$$

Michelin Pilot Sports for tires but I just added a hitch and tire trailer so I'm about to go to Nitto NT01. At this point I'd say I'm a serious track driver as I've been at it since 2008, getting a dozen or two days in each year so it's time to commit some $$'s.

On my to-do list:

Saftey gear (belts, cage or roll bar - like the idea of the Kurt bolt-in)

Spring/Shock
Diff
Safety gear

Sounds like you should just do all three at the same time. Run stock sway bars until you get the feel for the new setup.

I highly recommend a race seat, harness, and roll bar as it made an incredible difference for me as to how much I could feel the suspension working not me moving around behind the wheel. For me it inspired more confidence to push the car closer to the limit than I could with the stock seats. I immediately picked up time at two different tracks after the race seat, harness, and roll bar were added. It was not cheap but safer (assuming a roll bar and not a harness bar) and more fun to drive at the track when you locked in behind the wheel.
