Default What to do with rear coilover extenders?

I just installed some coilovers and they came with the rear extenders to adjust the damping. I looked around to see what I can do with them since they're just poking out from the rear and the back window hits it every time I close the hatch, but couldn't really find anything.

I saw someone suggesting to just push the excess of the extenders back in, but the problem is mine won't go back in. I would really rather not take the shocks out and shorten the extenders.

What did you guys do with yours?

I put some tape around my ***** so it wouldn't bang against the glass so hard.

Looks like there are plenty of holes to ziptie them down

I just widened the hole large enough so a standard allen wrench would fit

Yeah, maybe I'll zip tie them..or use strips of velcro. My coilovers have a **** on the top of the shock so no allen wrench for me. :/

I saw another owner made his come out of the back, instead of the top. That is what I plan to do when I order my extenders.

What do you mean the back? Also, I'm not sure if my velcro plan is going to work...I can't seem to put the plastic cover back on even removing the white clip doesn't help.

The side of the strut panel that is facing you. The side that is towards the rear. He drilled a hole trough the panel, and had the **** placed there.

Oh, ok I see what you mean now. I'm going to see if I can take the top adjustment **** off and cut the extender shorter and maybe still a hole through the plastic and have it there.

The only problem is the extender doesn't want to move into the strut brace at all.

I wonder if anyone has figured out they can be cut to length. I know it took me 2 seconds to figure that out when I had them on my car.

Yeah, I figured they can be shortened when I was putting them on. Just didn't think I would need to and that I would be able to tuck them in.

I'll definitely be shortening them and feed them through the plastic.
