Default Caliper braket question

Hello, I recently did my brakes, and it seems like i stripped the bolt on the caliper that screws into the caliper bracket. The bolt is in tight but yet it will keep spinning, so it will spin then stop (feel like its tight) then if you tighten it a bit more it will continue to spin. I was wondering if it is safe to drive like this..has this happened to you? if so what was the result if you left it like that? just want to know for a piece of mind.

Thank you

You can replace the slide pins. Vato zone or O'Reilly's carry a kit that comes with new bolts and slide pins. Don't forget to grease them!

You only need to grease the rears.

If you want your caliper to seize eventually, sure why not.

I think you guys are confused, or maybe I am.

OP, you are referring to the bolt that attaches the caliper to the bracket or the bolt that keeps the caliper from opening?

If it is the caliper bracket bolt, can you remove it? You mentioned that it keeps spinning if you continue to tighten it. Well what happens when you loosen it? If it comes out you should just go get another bolt to replace it with.
