Default Rear Passenger Brake Locking up 2003 non-brembo

My rear passenger brake pads were completely worn, so I decided to replace all the pads & rotors (Non-brembo slotted/drilled + Centric pads). I drove about 30 miles after installing the new rotors/pads & the rear passenger rotor has a white film along the edge and the area is much hotter than all the other wheels. The other rotors do not have any sort of white film anywhere. So I'm guessing both previous pads on that wheel wore down so much quicker than the others b/c they are locked up.

How do I got about diagnosing it or does anyone think they know what the issue is?

Thanks

First I'd check for a blocked fluid hose on that caliper. Sometimes the layers come apart and block the fluid flow. Unlike the front, the rear brake lines are a simple design, and easy to replace.

I'd also check to make sure the caliper itself isn't frozen. The caliper should slide and move freely on its bracket, which should be clean and lubricated with the appropriate grease. I use Pernatex Anti-Seize:

The piston might also be frozen, and should move freely. When you changed the pads it should have been pushed back in, and shouldn't have required too much effort. You can rebuild the caliper yourself if you can get the piston out easily, or just buy a rebuilt caliper.

If possible, pull codes from the ABS computer. It monitors and holds reoccurring problem codes in memory. Are you feeling a lot of kickback from ABS when you're braking hard?

Switch the (2) 14 mm slider pins around. I had mine lock up because the bolts were reversed. Also make sure you grease them with brake lube
