Unhappy Program new ABS pump?!

hello there, got a 350z 04 track edition 75k miles, the car turned on the VDC OFF, SLIP, ABS, BRAKE lights. got it to a mechanic, he diagnosed a bad ABS pump after reading the codes,so i bought one with the same part number, but ive been hearing you need to program these pumps after changing them! is that true? if so can a snap-on machine reprogram these, or do i NEED to go to the stealership?

Thanks for any input on this!

The pump, also called the VDC actuator, is an electro-mechanical unit that isn't programmable. However, the entire system is controlled by a VDC/TCS/ABS control unit, mounted under the dash above the driver's pedal assembly. This unit is accessible through the data link connector, but the service manual doesn't say anything about reprogramming.

ohh i see, maybe nissans don't need programing(which would be great), i kept searching and most cases i saw that needed reprogramming where european cars(mercedes, bmw, and so on, although i did saw some nissan Titan owners talking about reprogramming but who knows). Lets see how this goes.

UPDATE, it was a chewed wiring causing the problem, changed pump first anyways and seemed to not need reprogramming.
