Or has something else better come along? Car doesn't see any track time and is still stock height but the OE shocks aren't exactly in great shape at a 107k miles.

 

I am using them on my car and definitely helped over the blown OEM's. If you are running lowering springs it is a valid option due to the shorter rod length.

 

Way BETTER than stock replacements - especially '03-04.5 OEM shocks, which are cr*p. You'll thank yourself by replacing them with Toks.

 

i ordered a set, 350 on ebay not a bad price (lowest i found). ive got 93k on my stock 05 shocks, and its getting unbearably floaty on the highway. i really wanted bilsteins but i cant throw down that amount at the moment and ive always had good luck with Toks. now i just need some time to put them on (working in Kentucky...hard to work on the car 3 hours away from home! haha!)

 

Thats a good buy, just under 1.5 years ago they were hard to come by. I had to call around for a week to find a retailer that actually had them in stock. Ended up dropping 450

 

No lowering springs. Just stock springs. Can't lower due to my driveway. I scrape as it is.

 

Good buy and definitely worth it! Finally got the toks on today, and changed my oil. Tell you what, my old shocks were toast. When I checked the old shocks after taking them off they seemed OK, but did seem a little soft. One rear and one front didn't want to return from fully compressed, so I'm assuming that means a loss of pressure. The other 2 rebounded fine, but we're still soft. First Drive on the new shocks and holy cow the car feels so composed now. Doesn't bottom out then wallow after bumps, just soaks them up. Feels really good under braking as well. Cornering also feels much better and the car feels more planted.

I'm sure d-specs are better, but for 350 you can't go wrong with the blues. If they last me 50-60k I'll be perfectly happy. Work well with my tein s-techs.

 

Had the blues for about a year now, first with hotchkis and now with the eibach pro kit, paired up well with both of them. As mentioned above, in that price range I'll be happy to get a good 50-60k miles out of them, but I will most likely upgrade to bilsteins b14 way before they're done....

DS, How would you compare the difference in springs with the Tokico Blues..? I'm on Hotchkis springs with blues and was thinking about going to a progressive spring. Just not sure if it's worth the effort.

Also, not trying to hijack the thread I just want a comparison of springs paired with the blues which I'm very happy with.

The hotchkis had a nice ride quality but were too soft in the rear for my taste and didnt lower quite enough. Im loving the ride with the pro kit, car feels more balanced with the stiffer rear rate and handles better as a result. Its a better match for the tokico blues imho

 

I'm loving the Tokico Blues paired with Tanabe gf210 springs. I just spent a few hours installing them over the weekend and I love the feel compared to my stock set up. Granted my stock shocks were long overdue for replacement but the blues are slightly stiffer and my car feels much tighter even before an alignment.
