Default 2005+ Spindle Ball Joint Replacement

Hey guys I did a lot of reading on the steering knuckle ball joint thread.

The steering knuckle/front spindle ball joint is larger for 2005+ models (stud length and diameter or something like that...)

I read that nearly all aftermarket ball joints are made for 2003/2004 models...

The only two sites I have seen that sell ball joints specifically by year are Concept Z and Z1 Motorsports.

For Concept Z, the ball joints are the same size, just a larger tapered end or something, so technically you're still running a 2003/2004 ball joint

I called Z1 and all they could offer me was that it was a different part number and it was different size, but he wasn't sure what dimensions to be exact.

Another option is to buy an energy suspension boot I think but i don't think anyone has done it for the 2005+ ball joints...

If anyone has ANY success (at least longer than a year..) with an aftermarket ball joint on a 2005+ model please let me know!

In the mean time I was thinking about patching up my small tear in the ball joint with flexible rubber adhesive but not sure how long that will last.

Even if your using the 03-04 size (which i doubt because I believe the balljoint shaft size taper is different) it will be fine. Ive used the 03-04 one for 3 years of hard racing now in all weather conditions.
